ABOUT ME

Whole-hearted Commitment

WhatsApp Image 2020-07-17 at 9.14.33 PM.

My name is Nidhi and I began my yoga journey in 2007 with the goal to touch my toes. Over the next few years, I focused entirely on the physical aspect of yoga, building flexibility and strength. It was fun to be on the mat and discover body parts I didn’t know existed.

The turning point of my yoga practice was an intense period of turbulence in my work life. My mat became the shrine of my healing. Yet, off the mat, my mind was constantly buzzing with things to do. When that started taking a toll on my sleep and health, I knew that it was time for me to deepen my Yoga practice.

I then trained under the traditional lineage of Ashtanga Yoga. I went on to study Yoga Psychology and Yoga Philosophy and integrate all of that with the science of Ayurveda. I also met a wonderful teacher with whom I learnt energy work.

Experiencing my own journey to recovery and with all the resources I had access to, it was only a matter of time before I began to help family and friends who were experiencing physical and emotional issues. The most wonderful part was that most often it wasn’t the big things; small changes in diet, an affirmation or mantra, simple asanas to start the day, a relaxation exercise to sleep better, would jumpstart their process to reclaiming their health.

Each experience of seeing how intricately and intimately our body, mind, and spirit are connected and how healing one helps heal the other two, continues to reaffirm my faith in our own potential to regain a  constant state of physical and emotional well-being.
